SOME SKINCARE has been developed on the beautiful island of BALI, INDONESIA. If you have been to Bali, you can understand their cultural concept of ‘Tri Hita Karana’ which commits to respecting and working harmoniously with humanity, nature and the divine.
Here at SOME SKINCARE, we stand by this Balinese concept as well as weave in their traditions of ritual.SOME is your self-care ritual, using only natural and palm oil free ingredients to enhance your natural beauty and wash away the day that was.
SOME is starting small with its product range of serum, cleansers and lip balms, allowing for a strong foundation and ready for our range to grow throughout 2019.
BEHIND THE BRAND
Georgia is behind the brand of Some Skincare. Educated in complimentary medicine, with a love for glowing skin and clean living, Some has been created to share toxin-free living, to bring people back to nature as well as share her love for Bali.
DOING OUR BIT
The devastation of the palm-oil industry when travelling around Indonesia, particularly in Borneo and Sumatra can be clearly seen. Georgia has seen this first hand when travelling to Borneo and talking to the locals there. We are doing our bit by avoiding the use of palm oil and giving back to support the locals in this area. It’s a tricky area with many blurred lines but one that will continue to evolve as we become more aware as consumers. Palm Oil is an excellent emulsifier, preserve and binder of ingredients which is hard to get from other ingredients, often compromising the product. We have chosen to keep it out of our products and feel that we have not had to compromise on the beautiful texture and efficacy!
The antioxidant rich natural ingredients are sensitive to photodecomposition; we have therefore chosen to package our formulations in amber packaging. The bottles are made from premium PET material and glass which helps to protect the formulas and keep them stable. The packaging chosen is designed to reduce waste, the cleanser and serum bottles being 100% recyclable and BPA free.
